The g the pads from constantly needing pulled up and adjusted. In fact it's the only pads I've ever owned that does not need some type of adjustment throughout my ride. Tip for putting on pads though I learned many years ago riding skateboards... pull them up and tighten the straps once you're standing up so your leg and muscles are pretty much the shape and size they'll be once riding. Way less if any adjustments will be needed and they'll be more comfortable. Little reluctant on spending so much at first because I couldn't try them on and inspect the quality.
